Stampin' Up! Christmas Idea.... JOY Jar

These little jars are so easy to make... You can find these squatty jars pretty much anywhere canning supplies are sold.

They are great to fill with CHOCOLATE  (ok, you could put nuts, trailmix, jelly bellies (love them), mints, brads, ribbon, grommets, ribbon scraps, eyelets or anything else in them (however, I wouldn't eat the last few that I mentioned!)

I used the Christmas Cocoa designer series paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog (have you gotten everything you want from there???? It only lasts til January 4th!)

I cut a 4" circle with my Stampin' Up! Circle Scissors and attached it to the canning lid of this jar with some Tombo Multi-Purpose Adhesive.

To cut the JOY letters, I used the Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Alphabet Junior dies....They are cut out of Real Red Cardstock....

Finish it off with a little Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon!

Do you know what JOY stands for???? Jesus, Others, Yourself..... Life is good JOYful when you remember to keep these in their proper order!

Have a fabulous Thanksgiving, and remember the JOY principle.... and also remember that JOY comes from God's peace, not from your situations.....

I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU!  And I wish you many blessings and pray you always have a JOYful heart!

Blog Tour Day 4--For the Kiddos!

Hi there, it's Elf Deann back with my final idea for Holiday Blog Tour 2009! Thank you so much for taking the tour, and for the sweet comments you have left me!  I love to hear what you are thinking!!!

Today it's about the kiddos!  And kids love to draw and write... and they love things that are bright and shiney!

This little pencil pouch is a perfect stocking stuffer for your little ones!

Filled with 4 shiney pencils, it's sure to get a wow!!!  I used Real Red Cardstock, stamped with an image from the Delightful Decorations set.  Then I created a belly band with the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper, and wrapped that with Old Oive 5/8" gorsgrain ribbon...... Finish it off with an ornament from the Delightful Decorations set.  Too Cute!

Here is the quick and easy pattern. (click on image to view larger)

Well, off again to see Kathy!  I hope you will book mark my blog, or sign up to receive an email when I post something new... don't be a stranger.... make sure to stop by and say hi!

Have a blessed and hand crafted Christmas!

Blog Tour Day 3--You KNOW I had to use Chocolate :)

Yes, coffee and chocolate.... I love them both!

So for today I have a fun little idea for your stocking stuffers, friends, co-workers or to keep next to your bed for this late nite cravings!

This little project is SUPER EASY to do and super cute too!

Begin with a 3-1/4 x 6-5/16" piece of Garden Green Cardstock... score it at 3 and 3-5/16".... set aside
Next take a 6x6 piece of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.... score it at 1-1/2" and 4-1/4".  Fold on score lines and adhere together along overlapping edge.

Insert into your cutter with the 6" edge along the top of your cutter and score at 2-7/8" and 3-1/8".  Fold on score lines.....

Lay the designer paper on top of the garden green cardstock, lining up score lines in the middle.  Use the 1/16" hole punch to punch a hole through both layers in between the score line.

Use gold elastic cord through the holes and tie together into a knot/bow on the garden green side.

Use the 3/4" circle punch to punch divits out of the openings of the designer paper.  These pockets will hold a Ghiradelli chocolate or even a tea bag.  To create a sentiment insert, use a 2-5/8" x 2-5/8" piece of cardstock.

Next, create a belly band buckle using 1-1/2" x 6-1/4" piece Old Olive Cardstock... score at 1-3/4", 2-1/16",  5-1/8" and 5-7/16". Fold on score lines. (yes, these are some funky measurements, but doing them makes the band fit perfectly!)
Attach 3/4" flap to front of booklet, lining up score lines on the spine.... tucking strip under the elastic cord.

Attach 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece Real Red Cardstock to front of booklet using adhesive along the TOP AND BOTTOM ONLY.

Tuck 1-3/4" flap of old olive band under the real red cardstock to secure.

Run a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of old olve cardstock through the Big Shot using the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Embossing Folder... Attach to real red cardstock.  Accent with ornmaent from Delightful Decorations set, stamped in real red ink, punched with the Ornament punch, and accent from the set stamped in garden green ink and punched with 3/4" circle punch.  Add an old olive brad and attach circle to ornamant with a dimensional.

Ta-Da.... You can embellish as much or as little as you like!
Ok, off you go to Kathy's Workshop again!  See you back tomorrow!

Day Two--Holiday Blog Tour--Coffee Anyone???

If this is your first time visiting our RemARKable Blog Tour, WELCOME!  If you are a returning guest, thanks for coming by again!

Are you a coffee drinker??? Have any coffee drinkers on your list of those you are giving gifts to this year?

Well, here's a couple fun ideas to jazz up an ordinary gift!

I picked up this pack of 12 coffees at Walmart the other day--for just $9 (what a steal!).... I figured, if nothing else, I'd enjoy them myself during these cold, Michigan winter months.... But, I don't think I'll be having any for myself since I've come up with some fun ways to decorate them for Christmas gifts.

This little box is created with our Big Shot and our Fancy Favor Die.

I used our Thick Window Sheets to cut out the box.  Then, before assembling, I inserted the box into our Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot again.  It only does a portion of the box at a time, so I moved the folder over to another part of the box, ran it through again, and continued doing it until the whole piece was embossed.  Here is an upclose of the texture this gives the box.

Isn't that cool!

Next idea I had you can do with any cardstock and designer series paper you have on hand, or use what I did.....

This is a Coffee Pouch....

Here is the pattern and instructions (click image to view larger pattern):

Begin with a 2-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock (here I used Old Olive)
Score at 1-1/2", 6" and 7-1/2.  Fold on score lines.
Punch a window with the Large Oval Punch about 3/4" from the edge.

Adhere shut where the top flap overlaps the bottom.
Insert coffee pack and wrap 1-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of designer paper (I used Merry Moments) around pouch and secure ends together in the back.

Wrap with ribbon (I used Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain).

I then stamped and accent with a stamp from the Christmas Punch Hostess Set and attached it to the top.  Super cute, super easy!

Ok, off to Kathy's again..... Have fun and see you back tomorrow!

Despite our best efforts for a smooth tour, some glitches may happen for some of our guests.

Well, the holiday is CHRISTmas, and since Jesus is the Resaon for the Season, my gift idea is perfect for anyone on your list!

I printed off the verse on vellum cardstock and attached it to the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog using gold brads... This paper has a 'flocked' snowflake on it.... it's so cool!

The verse says, 'And He will be called..... Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.'

Then I punched out the JESUS letters with my Big Shot and the Simple Serif Alphabet dies.  Attached them in the center, and viola!  Done!  I made three of these in no time for a craft fair I am doing this weekend.

Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint part 3

SHINE SHINE SHINE!
I love this card idea using the Tree Trimmings Stamp Set.

I love the layers and texture... the Bride Designer Paper is so beautiful.  I added some shimmer paint to the ornaments, and you can see it better below.

And adding a hat pin and beads from the pretties kit really sets it off!

This is one of my favorites.  What do you think?

Alpha Family Center Fundraiser

Saturday was our all day Stampin', Stitchin' and Scrappin' for LIFE Retreat.

What a FABULOUS DAY IT WAS!

21 ladies joined us and we raised over $500 for the Crisis Pregnancy Center!!!!  PRAISE GOD!!!

Here are some of the ladies crafting:

I had 2 tables full of my Stampin' Up! tools/stamps/inks to use.

And all the food was included with their $25 donation... the ladies of Spencer Mills Church donated all the food and made it for us too.  Here's Linda hard at work!  She even made us home-made spaghetti sauce that was simmering all day!  YUM!

If you are interested in having me do a fundraiser for your group, let me know!  This was easy to do and so much fun FOR EVERYONE!  We are planning another one in February, so watch for more details to come!

It's amazing what God will do through a few volunteers and the participation of crafters!  He is SO GOOD ALL THE TIME!

October Quarter Queens

This is by FAR my favorite downline event!

Each quarter the demonstrators in my group have the chance to earn a fun night of stamping and dinner... ON ME!  Yes, I prepare a project for them to do AND I cook them a dinner too.  (Those of you who know how much I love to cook (HA!) know this is quite an accomplishment in itself!)

Last night 4 ladies joined me who earned this incentive event.  Here are the highlights!
I bought each Queen a fun vase and put fresh flowers in them.

I added a special tag to each one with a personlized thank you message for all they do for me and my team.

They each received a pumpkin basket filled with..... CHOCOLATE!

We started off the evening with a yummy dinner.... Scalloped Potatoes w/ Ham, Tossed Salad and Pumpkin Pie.

Here is the recipe for the potatoes:

6-8 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can milk
1/2 cup green peppers, chopped
1 cup chopped onion
Black pepper
1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.

Mix soups, milk, green pepper, onion and black pepper together in a large bowl.  Add potatoes and mix well.  Pour into a greased 9x13 dish and cover with foil.  Bake for 1 hour.  Remove foil and top with cheese.  Cook uncoverd 15-30 min longer until potatoes are done.

YUM!!!

Here they are in project mode:

Queen Tonya Shelden

Queen Veronica Grimm

Queen Loretta Kavanagh

Queen Yolanda McDonald

And here they all are showing off their FUN PROJECT!

Here is a close up.... Sorry, I can't share the directions on this one.  It wasn't my original idea, it was shared with me by Trena Bevier.  And it wouldn't be fair to those who earned this event....

The box has a clear front.

And hold cards/envelopes, tags, a wishilist/receipt book and pen.

We made 3 cards to go inside....

So, are you jealous???? You can be a part of this event next quarter!
Join my team and be a part of the fun!  Contact me today to get started!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days Card Idea

I think I want this vase and arrangement for a centerpiece for my table!

The Autumn Days set has such great fall images.  And the vase is such a clever idea!

It uses the wide oval punch... snip off one end, and then use the punch to round the other end to create a curved top!  How Cute!
Add a litle strip of dusty durango cardstock w/ a flower punched from the boho blossoms punch and viola!  Super cute card in just minutes.

This was my favorite card from stamp club this month.  Which one was yours???

Stampin' Up! Delightful Decorations Card Idea

Club members used the NEW Delightful Decorations set, coordinating ornament punch and Holiday Lounge designer series paper on this fun and bright card.

Not your traditional colors... ruby red and taken with teal... that's why I love it!

See you back tomorrow for the last project from stamp club.

Stampin' Up! Thoughts & Prayers Masculine Card Idea

Here is project number one that my monthly club members made this weekend.....

This is a great masculine card idea using the Thoughts & Prayers set.  I embossed the tree in gold on always artichoke cardstock, then layered it on dusty durango cardstock.  The base is chocolate chip.  I added some texture to the background by using the sanded background stamp.

See you tomorrow for card 2.

Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint part 2

I am on a roll with this little gem of a paint!
If you haven't gotten yours yet, you need to contact me to place an order!  This is a must have item for your Christmas card and gift making!

The paint dries REALLY fast, so you have little chance of smudging....

On this card, I used a sponge dauber to apply the paint directly to my snowflake stamp, then I stamped it on the cardstock, giving it a shimmery look on the white cardstock.  This snowflake is from the Serene Snowflakes set in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I also rubbed some of the paint on the punched out ornament for some extra shine.

Tomorrow I will be posting a project my stamp club members made tonight.  Want to join us....?  Click here to find out how!

Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint

Stampin' Up!'s new shimmer paint is a huge hit!
I love the shimmer and pizzazz it adds to my projects, and my hostesses have been loving it too!

Here is a fun idea I created to show at my workshops this month.

I used the new Delightful Decorations stamp set and the coordinating Ornament punch.  The white piece I punched from the top note die w/ the big shot, then ran it through with the petals a plenty embossing folder for the big shot.  I used some of the champagne mist shimmer paint w/ a sponge dauber to lightly add shimmer to the embossed flowers and the ornaments.  Oh, I also rubbed it on the red grosgrain ribbon to make that sparkle too!

The shimmery gold background is our metallic gold cardstock.

Here's an upclose look:

Watch for more ideas w/ these paints!

Stampin' Up! Trendy Trees Card Idea

Stamp Club Project #3

Trendy Trees is a stamp set where you get more than your pay for!

This little set is SO versatile... It comes with different trees that you make in 2 steps, and 2 greetings... a Thinking Of You and a Thank You So Much.

Now, this is NOT my original idea and I am sad to say that I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it.  So if it is yours, please let me know so I can give you credit for it! :)

The hills were made my hand, free cutting them out of old olive cardstock.  Then stamp them with one of the spiral tree images from the set.

I used the paper piercer w/ the mat pack (which has holes pre-punched in it so you can get perfect piercing!) to make a border around the edge of the focal point.

I really like working with this set.  It's so versatile and can be adapted for any season.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hoped you liked this project and will visit again!

Stampin' Up! For All You Do Card Idea

Stamp Club Project #2

I participate in swaps occasionally with demonstrator friends of mine, and I got this template from a swap that I thought was really fun to make.

To create the pocket on the front of the card, use the scallop circle die, fold in the sides and bottom, then wrap the designer paper around it, and attach the embellishment.  Here we used Pale Plum, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, with the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper.

We also used the big shot with a texture plate to create a dimensional backgroun.

Tomorrow, project #3.

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Asian Artistry Card Idea

Stamp Club Card #1

Here is one of the project club members made last night.

It uses the Artfully Asian hostess set.

To create the sun, I punced a 1" circle from scrap paper, then used the piece with the hole punched out as a mask to sponge summer sun ink onto the corner of my white cardstock.  I used my markers to ink the stamp with old olive and ruby red, stamped the image, then used my blender pen to bleed the color inside the bird.  The flower stamp lightly in the background is with creamy carmel ink, stamped off once before stamping onto my cardstock.  I then used the Modern Label Punch to punch out the greeting.
Check back tomorrow for project #2.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days & Cheep Talk Card Ideas

My friend Beth is such a great stamper....

Here are two more of her ideas from our Team Stamp & Share.

This card features one of my new favorite sets... Autumn Days.

Beth used her circle scissors and the big shot with the #2 scallops die for this beautifly card. It would be great for anyone... even the men in our life!

This card is fun and lively with the Cheep Talk stamp set.
LOVE the corduroy brad!  These little birdies are just adorable!!!
Well, my club meets tonight and I need to finish prepping projects (You can come check us out sometime!  RSVP for the PMSS nites I hold during my stamp club time.  CLICK HERE to learn more.....
Watch for the samples of what they make tonight!

Stampin' Up! Inspired By Nature

Yesterday I said I'd post a card done my one of my recruits, Beth Jansen.

Here one of her ideas.... this card features the Inspired By Nature set.... I LOVE this set! (Don't own it yet, but it's on my wishlist!)

Beth used Night of Navy, CHocolate Chip and Certainly Celery.  After she inked up the stamp, she sprayed water up in the air, and caught the droplets on the inked stamp.  Then stamped it on the white cardstock.  IT gives it a speckely kind of look.
See you tomorrow with another BETHIE card!

Stampin' Up! Taking Care of Business

This stamp set is so fabulous for anyone with a home-based business... Don't have a home-based busines??? Well, if you are on my blog that must mean you love to stamp... and guess what?  I have a home-based business opportunity for YOU!  Email Me to find out more....

Ok, this set.....

We used it to make a project for my monthly Stamp & Share event that I do with my group of demonstrators.  This month we made packets that we could give out to new people we meet to show them what we do.

This little envelope was made with our Scallop Envelope die for the Big Shot.  My friend Patty Bennett found a way to make this envelope bigger when you cut it out, and it holds a business card or gift card.  (inside mine is a business card).

Then we made a card and a packet to hold the business card envelope, the card/envelope/a little poem about what we do, and our class schedule.  Now who wouldn't love getting one of these with a Holiday Mini Catalog.

Check back tomorrow to see some ideas my direct recruit Beth Jansen shared with us at our event.

A Thoroughly Modern Christmas-Stampin' Up! Style!

Day 4--The Finale--of the RemARKable Stampers
Holiday Blog Tour
Hello Blog Tour Hoppers!  Today is the last day in our 4-day RemARKable Stampers Holiday Blog Tour... (SNIF, SNIF!)  I know, I have enjoyed this ride as much as you have!  And even though this one must come to an end, I can guarantee that from all the WONDERFUL COMMENTS we are getting, we will be doing more of these blog tours, so make sure to sign up for my newsletter and for updates when I post to this blog so you don't miss the next one!
For today's ideas, I chose to go way outside the box... (I've been known to stray away from the norm from time to time!)
I chose to use the new Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper to make some Christmas ideas.... and this paper is definitely NOT your traditional Christmas colors.....
Here is my first idea.... It's a treat holder that I found on Stampin' Up!'s website.  They have a special section for demonstrators and they post hundreds of patterns on there.  Sure makes it easy for us.
This one holds a mini Hershey bar.  I took out the home-made rose red shredd so you could see how cute the candy is decorated with the designer paper....
And here is a close up of the tag.  I stamped it with the new Serene Snowflakes from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
And now for my FAVORITE IDEA for the day.  And yes, this one is an OLIVER ORIGINAL!  I almost forgot about this fun little guy.  A few years ago Stampin' Up! asked me to present a WOW project at one of their regional conferences, and this is one of the projects I designed.  I tweeked it with the new papers and stamps for the blog tour.
Can you guess what's inside it....?  Come on... I bet you can't!
If you said CHOCOLATE... you.... are.......
WRONG!
How about some Christmas gift tags!  I used the word window punch to create slots for the tags to slip into.  It holds shut with just a smidge of velco.
Ok, I knew you'd love it!!!!  Here is the pattern for this fun little gem!
You can click on the image to make it larger.
So this Christmas, think outside the box.  Go for fun, unique colors and watch your friends and family say WOW!
Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my blog!  I hope you will mark it in your favorites, or subscribe to my feed/updates so you will stay in touch!  I enjoy your comments, and look forward to sharing more of what I love with you.

Sweet Treat Cups Ideas

Day 3 of the RemARKable Stampers Holiday Blog Tour!
These have got to be one of the slickest things since sliced bread!
These Treat Cups can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 7.  You get 12 and they are only $2.95.  They have adhesive liners around the edge so you can stick them to paper after you fill them and display your treats! You will need the 1-3/4" circle punch to punch perfect windows to put the treat cups through.  How FUN!
Here's what I came up using them.... and there's more than just cards!
Here is a Halloween idea.
I filled the belly of the spider with orange M&M's... (the boys thought I was crazy for picking out just the orange ones, and thought I wasn't going to need the rest... of course they wanted them!)
The spider's legs were EASY to make using the rounded tab punch... here's what I did....
First, punch out one tab, then line up the cardstock again so that just a strip of the cardstock shows inside the punch like below.
Continue doing this until you have 4 little black pieces (that look like bats... you could use them for that too!)
Then, just cut the pieces in half to make 2 legs.  VIOLA!
Next I made a decoration for this cute basket/box I made with the Square Scallop die for the Big Shot.  (I made one like this that held cards for a class that you can see HERE.)
I used the Sweet Centers set from the Holiday Mini Catalog that was made to go with the sweet treats cups.  I stamped several petals from the set and cut them out, then adhered them to the edge of the treat cup.  The leaves are from the set too.
This is really a gift within a gift, don't you think???  Oh, and I had to hurry and pick out the yellow M&M's before they were gone... those boys!
Now for my FAVORITE IDEA!  Yes, this one is an OLIVER ORIGINAL as well!
Who wouldn't LOVE to get this little gem for a gift!  Especially when it's filled with Stampin' Up! goodies!
I took a 8-1/4 x 6 piece of our NEW Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper from the Hoiday Mini Catalog... folded it in half at 3".
Then I used my 1-3/4" circle punch, sliding the paper all the way to the back of the punch, and punched a circle 1/2" from each side, and one in the center (I punched through both layers of DSP).
Then I inserted the treat cups between the 2 layers of DSP WITHOUT REMOVING THE PAPER COVERING THE ADHESIVE.
I used Tombo Multi-Purpose Adhesive to put a line of adhesive in between each of the cups, from the top of the paper, down to the fold.  ONLY put adhesive between the cups, not above or below them, to make sure you have free space for your tag pull-outs to move freely.
Then, take 2 x 3-1/2" pieces of coordinating cardstock to create your pullout tags.  Insert them between the DSP layers.  Then fill with goodies.....Here's what the back side looks like.  This is a cool idea because you don't have to tear apart the project to get to the good stuff... and it's refillable.
And I couldn't resist using the new Shimmer Paint for some snowflakes on the tags I made with the Rounded Tab Punch.
I will be making lots of these this year, and even filling them with CHOCOLATE would be a great gift!

And the Tour Goes ON!

Day 2 of the Remarkable Stampers Holiday Blog Tour!

Today I must tempt you!
And really, it is a temptation of something to come!!!!

Stampin' Up! just announced its NEW MY DIGITAL STUDIO Software and has released it in the new Holiday Mini Calalog.  It is available for you to order on October 1 (yes, I know, you have to wait.... Or, you could sign up to be a demonstrator RIGHT NOW and order it in about 10 minutes (one of our PERKS!) after you sumbit your starter kit order online from my website.... and you could get it for 30% off too....)  Oh, got a little sidetracked there!  I'm just so excited!

Ok, what is it? you say?  Well, it is software that contains all 48 of our colors, plus in colors, as well as our punches, stamp sets, accessories!  It is a Stampin' Up! creating center on your computer.  You can use it to create cards, scrap book pages, as well as complete, bounded albums. You can also print (or have our printer print) pages for you to frame in your home or to use as gits.

I have to admit something.... It is a very shameful thing for me to say, but up until now, I was not much of a scrapbooker (GASP!)  I know!  But, this sweet little product was delivered to my door, I patiently put it on my computer, and once I opened it, I was MESMERIZED!  It is SO MUCH FUN to work with!  Here are some of the FABULOUS things I made... All in one day!

One of these photos you've seen before when I posted highlights of the Hawaii incentive trip I earned from Stampin' Up!
You can create titles that involve your photos, like I did here.... And I even added a couple eyelets too (yes, digitally!)
And what/who do we scrapbook about most... OUR CHILDREN!  Here is my son Mitch during baseball this year.
It was so easy to do this page. I picked out a 'predesigned layout' and simply drag/dropped my photos in the layout.  It automatically sized my photos to fit the layout!
The stars are from our Sporting stamp set (images are included in the software) and you can even make them any color you want!  And I added lots of digital brads.
You can use any font that is on your computer for any words/journaling you want to add.

Here is another page made of my son Jake's prom with a predesigned layout.  I added perfect mats around all my pics.  The background paper is one of our designer prints.  Don't you love the digital designer brads and ribbon???

And lastly, and most sweetly, is this page I made of my son Jake, who graduated last year.  I have to admit, I got quite teary-eyed doing this one!

I added digital buttons and ribbon... plus, you can create drop shadows around your imgages, like I did around the photo mats and the "&".
Ok, I know you are addicted already... You can do one of two things.....

Let the Tour Begin!

Day 1 of the RemARKable Stampers Holiday Blog Tour!

Are you ready....?  Let's get on with the ride!

Today I am showing some fun ideas with our new SHIMMER PAINT (p. 27) from the Holiday Mini Catalog.....It is so GORGEOUS and easy to use... And it dries so quick!  (I didn't smear or smudge once!)

This Christmas card idea uses the new Serene Snowflakes Set (p.26-27) from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I stamped the snowflakes in Bordering Blue, Sahara Sand and also with the Shimmer Paint.
Simply apply the paint directly to the stamp using a sponge dauber.  Then stamp your image.
Here is a closeup so you can see how the paint shimmers (the camera just doesn't do it justice!)
You can also create very elegant wedding invitations with the SHIMMER PAINT too!
Here I used the beautiful Wedding Sweet set with the champagne shimmer paint... I applied it directly to the stamp with a sponge dauber.
The Big Shot using the Top Note Die and Finial Press Embossing Folder helps to round out the elegant look.
It's absolutely gorgeous!!!!
And lastly, but not least... Here is my favorite Christmas card (it will probably be the one I do for my cards this year...)
I used the new Sweet Treats (p 6-7) and Serene Snowflakes (p 26-27) sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The colors are Blush Blossom and Soft Suede.
I stamped the image in soft suede on blush blossom cardstock, then I punched it out with our 1-3/4" circle punch.  Then, take some Champagne Shimmer Paint on a sponge dauber and rub it over the front of the punched out circle.  The result is stunning!

See you back tomorrow!

Big Shot Fancy Favor Die & Flight of the Butterfly

These little treats are so much fun to make!
And these 2 accessories are perfect compliments for each other... The Big Shot Fancy Favor Die and the Curly Label Punch.
The butterflies from the Flight of the Butterfly set make a sweet pattern to the apricot appeal cardstock.  I stamped the small butterfly in apricot ink and the larger one in dusty durango.

To tie the treat closed, I used the 3/4" circle punch and tied it with the FABULOUS new polka dot ribbon.  Add the curly label tag and viola!  Super sweet treat--filled with ..................................CHOCOLATE! :)
The ladies at my workshop last week loved this idea. How about you!

Tomorrow's post... their make and take from last week!
See you back :)

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days Card Idea #2

As promised, here is the second card from my workshop last week, using the Autumn Days stamp set.

Creating a frame with the leaf stamp from this set really help to make a fabulous focal point.  And these 3 new in-colors are perfect for a fall theme.
I love the fun touch of punching out a greeting with the modern label punch... this punch is a must have ladies!
Have a Happy September!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days Card Idea

Here is a fun ideas I came up with for a workshop demo last week using the Autumn Days stamp set.  This is a great guy card for any occasion.

It was so easy to do!
I punched a hole in a piece of scrap paper using the 3/4" circle punch.  Then, I laid the scrap paper over top of the white cardstock and sponged dusty durango ink in the hole to create the sun.  I removed the template, and sponged just a bit more durango ink around the sun to recreate the radiating effect.  Then I sponged crushed curry ink over the whole sky area.  For the ground, I sponged soft suede.
To create the phesant, I inked my stamp with the new in-color markers--dusty durango, bermuda bay and soft suede.  Then stamped it on the cardstock.
The spiral punch along the edge of the suede cardstock adds a fun dimension too.
If you are looking for a great nature/masculine set... this is the perfect new set to have.  Watch for another card idea with this set tomorrow.
